Vancouver Island’s largest shopping centre remains local for online and offline marketing needs

We ended up landing a contract with the largest shopping centre on Vancouver Island by chance at a networking event. Our managing directors, Jay and Jason attended a print seminar by our friends at Print Three. During a break they were chatting about current projects and wouldn’t you know it, Tracy Smith, the marketing assistant at Woodgrove overheard them talking and perked her interest. She approached them and inquired further about our services. One thing led to another and we were set for a meeting with Woodgrove’s Marketing Director, Nola Dunn. Crazy how things like that work out, guess it was fate.

The first meeting was incredible, and the creative sparks were flying. Webacom was soon awarded a project and we’ve been working together for the past eight years. Nola is fantastic, and we couldn’t ask for a better client. She truly is amazing.

Their old website was lacking quality content, their social media presence was low, and they had no local creative partner for timely graphic design projects.

Woodgrove had an old website that was difficult for people to use. There was no benefit to their users or their retailers nor did it showcase any of the people and community groups they help. It lacked features, wasn’t responsive, and needed an overhaul. Their social media presence was weak and needed to be strengthened. They also needed a local creative agency to partner with for graphic design projects with quicker turnarounds and competitive prices.

What did we have to offer? A warm responsive website, social media promotions and contests, and a creative partnership for ongoing graphic design projects. We created a brand new responsive website packed with features for them to manage internally. It invoked their warm, community spirit to increase customer and retailer satisfaction. We implemented aggressive multi-channel social media campaigns including Facebook contests to elevate their social presence. Since partnering with Woodgrove, we’ve created many different campaigns from promoting sidewalk sales to Santa photos.

We increased website traffic conversion rates and lowered bounce rates, tripled social media fan base and boosted customer loyalty. The website we built was user-friendly and responsive which increased conversion rates by 35% and decreased bounce rates by over 50%. It offered smarter integration with retailers and we expanded the site to include intuitive and important content. Facebook fans have increased by over 200% and continues to climb. From their website through to all their creative, Woodgrove now has a marketing strategy that will stand the test of time.

There have been changes at Ivanhoe Cambridge, they expanded their internal web team, and a new corporate website was launched recently. We may not manage their website anymore, but we are still partnered with them and continue to work on creative projects from graphic design for their Christmas campaigns to updating their annual print collateral.
