The new site will be built upon non proprietary open source code. Open Source is supported by 10’s of thousands of programmers around the world allowing the Chamber to save tens of thousands for similar proprietary types of content management systems (CMS).
Webacom is giving back to the community by teaching a free class to the South Wellington Elementary students, Grades 5, 6, and 7. Andrew Macklin, Senior Interactive Designer and Jay Somerville, CEO are teaching the class on web design techniques and the use of social media. Along the way Webacom will be aiding in the development of a new website that will be constructed based on the student's brainstorming.
During the last Chamber luncheon, Webacom was honored as Chamber Member of the Year. Webacom has really helped the Chamber over the past number of years and more recently volunteered marketing services to create and produce the Barb & Bill Show.
