Do you want to provide your visitors with a rich, interactive multimedia experience? Try incorporating Flash elements on your site to add a bit of extra flair and interactivity for your visitors... Originally, when individuals wanted to create animations, they would string a series of bitmaps together to create a .gif. The result was animation, but the files were excessively large and not interactive. In 1995, a product called Futuresplash (now known as Flash) designed by a small, six person company called Futurewave was introduced to webmasters. Futuresplash gave designers a method of creating animations using vector graphics - which allowed them to create fantastic animations but keep the file sizes relatively small. In 1996 the product was purchased by software giant Macromedia. Macromedia marketed the product under the name Shockwave and in the years to come began adding additional features such as Action Script (which allows developers to add interactivity to Flash files) and integration of bitmaps, .png and sound files. While there have been some issues developing sites entirely using Flash in the past, especially as it relates to search engine optimization, search engines such as Google have made great strides in their ability to index Flash based content. Most recently, Flash is being used to stream video across the web. All YouTube videos are rendered in Flash, and there are many full length games, television programs and even feature films that use Flash. As a site owner, you can use Flash as all or part of your site's design to create a rich experience for your users. Our team has the skills to produce any type of Flash content you want. Our artistic director recently created a project for the South African Red Cross society featured as Adobe's "Site of the Day" and has participated in numerous exhibitions and competitions. Our operations manager is also well versed in creating rich media Flash projects, as he has been working with Flash for over a decade.
