Jay Somerville, President/CEO

Jay has been in the electronics industry since 1980 operating a security business and computer store.

With a passion for helping businesses grow he started offering web sites with his computer store customers in 1995.

Now he focuses on strictly web site development and graphic design with a specialty in search engine optimization.

Married to Kathy Somerville with three children, Jason, Chelsie and Joshua.

Jason Somerville, Vice President/COO

Jason's strengths lie within project management and developing unique online marketing strategies. He has always been involved with management throughout his career and strives to produce memorable experiences through targeted artistic design and multimedia expressions. He is committed to listening to our customers’ needs and helping them reach their goals as efficiently as possible.

Jordan Somerville, Marketing Consultant

jordan Jordan, the happy and vibrant talker, has been involved with computer technology and marketing for the past 27 years.

He started his career in Accounting became an RIA (CMA now), worked a few years with accounting but found his strengths remained with computers, sales and advertising.

He opened his first company called Imavisions, a graphic design company whose main focus was marketing corporate products with graphic design, flying logos, and video integration.

Dan Perpeluk, Marketing Consultant

webstaff_dan Dan, is an enthusiastic individual and a devoted networker who has a passion for helping businesses grow.

Dan has been involved with sales and marketing for 14 years and brings to Webacom international marketing experience from China, India, USA, and Dubai. His education is in Business Management from BCIT and used that knowledge and discovered a passion for marketing.

Darryl Jacobs, Account Executive

Darryl has recently graduated from Vancouver Island University with a Bachelors Degree in Tourism Management. Darryl’s passion for life on Vancouver Island led to the decision to take the Tourism Management program with the goal of promoting all that the Island has to offer. Focusing primarily on marketing and consumer behaviour, Darryl has a solid understanding of what motivates tourists’ purchasing decisions.

Darryl is always keen to share that knowledge with you to help your marketing efforts reflect the quality of the product you are presenting to the world.

Gord Cooney, Account Executive (Victoria, B.C.)

Gord moved to Canada from Ireland with his family when he was just a wee lad. He grew up in Vancouver BC, but has lived in Victoria for the last 14 years and just cannot bring himself to leave this gorgeous city.

Gord’s background is in Genetics and Molecular Biology, but found it lacking as there were very few people to talk to or share a laugh with (everything he dealt with was ooze-like or microscopic). He has been a Scuba Diving Instructor for over 7 years in Canada and Mexico, a hobby that has brought his passion for the sea and environment together with his interest in dealing with people. Triathlons also take up much of Gord’s spare time. Over the past 5 years he has competed in over 20 races and hopes to survive another 20!

Lorie Collins, Administrative Assistant/Support

Lorie brings to Webacom Media a bright, sunny nature that almost never falters. Dubbed "The Happy girl" by her co-workers, Lorie's infectious humor brings laughter to Webacom and inspires a cheerful attitude in those around her.

An invaluable asset to the Webacom team, Lorie is often the first contact for our clients. Originally brought on board as the Receptionist, Lorie's friendly nature, insatiable curiousity - combined with her listening skills and deep belief in customer care - has caused her position to evolve during her tenure at Webacom, and she is now affectionately known to clients and staff as "The go-to gal".

Michele Macklin, Art Director

Michele moved to Canada in August of 2008 to join the Webacom team as a lead designer and Artistic Director. Michele has over 11 years of experience designing award winning websites for clients of all sizes as well as significant experience in project management. Her design work has been published in 2 design publications and she has taken part in several exhibitions.

Kandace Adair, Senior Designer/Developer

Kandace is a Graphic and Web Designer for Webacom Media Corp., BC. In this capacity, she oversees the design elements involved in clients' print media, logos and websites. An artist for over 16 years, her portfolio of experience reaches into programming, installing online applications, Macromedia Certification and Flash programming and animation.

Andrew Macklin, Senior Interactive Designer

After completing a Fine Art Degree and studying Advertising, Andrew worked for 10 years as a trainer in Desktop Publishing, Web Design & Development, Animation, Video Production & Motion Graphics as well as working in these fields.

With Adobe Expert Certification (in Flash, Photoshop and Dreamweaver) following from Macromedia Certification, Andrew believes in technical accuracy along with creative flair.

He has been a Beta tester for Adobe software, judged for the Web Marketing Association, presented at conferences and exhibited in numerous exhibitions.

David Walker, Conceptual Designer

david Born to Draw, Born to Write, Born to Create.

Actually David was born in England, grew up in Africa and came to Canada in the early nineties. Drawing came naturally to him at a very early age, much to the chagrin of his loving mother when he began this epic quest drawing on walls & carpets.

However soon he moved beyond these huge canvases and migrated to paper, pens and charcoal. But more than just natural ability, life experiences living on three seperate continents have truely shaped David into a unique individual.

Ashwani Sinha, Search Marketing Specialist

Ashwani has a great passion for Internet marketing, search marketing in particular. For the past 5 years he has been evaluating and testing strategies which work effectively to better optimize the virtual representation of any business on the electronic real estate called the Internet.
