Key Responsibilities
- Create visually captivating, professional designs while supporting the clients’ creative and technical guidelines.
- Keep up to date and informed of emerging interactive techniques, ensuring our company's online portfolio meet the highest design, quality and content standards.
- Assisting with the daily management of assigned projects from start to finish.
- Everyday contact with clients.
- Provide leadership on creative direction for projects and on-the-job coaching to design staff.
Creative
- The ability to create creative, unique and memorable designs that meets the requirements set by clients.
- Create and design concepts and templates for websites, print material and online advertising.
- Creation of corporate identities and supporting material in the creation of new brands.
Qualifications and Skills
- Degree or diploma in design or design-related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years experience.
- Thorough understanding and ability in graphic design, page layout and typography.
- Advanced knowledge in graphics manipulation using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Flash, Dreamweaver)
- Strong understanding of industry standards for online design and development.
- Knowledge in web-based content management tools (Wordpress and Joomla).
- Advanced knowledge in web standards using valid CSS and XHML markup essential.
- Strong project management skills.
- Strong conceptual skills.
- Dynamic, driven, good-listener, team-oriented, with ability to handle and learn from constructive criticism.
- Prior experience working with international brands an advantage.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge in social media an advantage but not required.
Annual Salary: CAD $43160. 36 hours per week
Location: Nanaimo, BC, Canada
