Our Nanaimo location allowed us to grow internationally attracting skilled workers with many web design disciplines from around the world.

Award Winning Web Design Company – Nanaimo’s Most Experienced

Webacom won the Nanaimo Chamber Member of Year 2009 for excellence in contribution to the Nanaimo Chamber of Commerce. Although the award was not for website design it was for producing the first ever viral video series called “The Barb and Bill Show” we are very much honored. The video production still continues today and it’s going into its second season.

Continuing our commitment to Nanaimo we are now re-developing the web design for the Nanaimo Chamber of Commerce. The need to adapt the Nanaimo Chambers website with social media and commenting was really critical. The Nanaimo Chamber Business Directory needed a searchable database allowing visitors to find the websites of Nanaimo business owners.

Webacom was recently nominated for the prestigious Mistic Annual Innovation Awards under the new media category. 121 nominations were submitted and only 23 were finalists, Webacom being one. November 3/2010 is the night for the award finalists to network with members and other finalists with the awards being announced the same evening. We’ll keep you posted.

Mistic is located in Nanaimo and works with startups and technology based companies on Vancouver Island. It includes web design companies in the Nanaimo area and companies like Webacom that include web design services. The Mistic membership varies and includes manufactures and many other categories.

Webacom Wins Mistic New Media Award – Nanaimo Web Design – Social Media Experts

Webacom is pleased to announce they are proud recipients of the award for new media in the 5thAnnual MISTIC Science, Technology and Innovation awards ceremony November 3/2010.

It was an incredible honour to attend this gala event put on by Mistic (Mid-Island Science, Technology and Innovation Council). It felt like the Oscars and looked like it as well from the large stage with balloon creations, elegant table seating, dignitaries and great food. Thanks to both Mistic organizers and the Vancouver Island Convention Centre located in Nanaimo for an unforgettable evening.
